About Us

A room with rehabilitation equipment including Pilates reformers, wall-mounted resistance bands, and medical posters, with large windows letting in natural light.

At Ascent Pilates, we believe movement is medicine.
Our studio was created to provide a safe, supportive space where people of all abilities can build strength, improve balance, and move with confidence.

Founded by a Cardiac Registered Nurse with over 25 years of clinical experience and specialised training in Pilates, Ascent Pilates offers level 1 Pilates classes for those who wish to maintain independence forever and the Post Cardiac Pilates Program for recovery from cardiac events.

With small group sizes and personalised guidance, our focus is on helping clients progress at their own pace, whether their goal is recovery, prevention, or lifelong wellness.

At Ascent Pilates, every class is about more than exercise—it’s about empowering you to enjoy movement, build strength and maintain independence, and live life fully.

The Post Cardiac Pilates Programme was developed to provide ongoing support for people recovering from cardiac events, surgery, or diagnosis. Many individuals complete hospital-based rehabilitation and are left wondering, what’s next? PCPP answers that question by offering a safe, structured pathway back into movement.

The programme combines medical insight with the proven benefits of Pilates. Each session is designed to promote safe exercise, confidence in movement, and long-term health.

What’s Next After PCPP?

On completion of the programme, clients have the opportunity to continue their journey in our Level 1 Reformer classes ,a natural progression for those wishing to maintain their strength and build long-term fitness.
