Terms & Conditions
1. General Information
These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all clients participating in classes at Ascent Pilates. This includes: The Post Cardiac Pilates Programme (PCPP) and General Pilates Classes.
By enrolling in any class, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these T&Cs.
Ascent Pilates reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Updated versions will be made available on our website or provided in writing.
2. Eligibility & Medical Clearance
a) Post Cardiac Pilates Programme
Participation requires referral from a cardiologist, physiotherapist, or other qualified health professional.
Clients must provide medical clearance and sign a health consent form prior to commencing.
Clients must notify the instructor immediately of any changes to their health status (e.g., new symptoms, medication changes, hospital admissions).
The instructor may require updated medical clearance at any time.
b) General Pilates Reformer Classes
Clients must complete a health intake form before commencing.
Participation is not suitable for individuals with unstable medical conditions.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.
3. Class Bookings & Attendance
Classes must be booked in advance through the booking system or directly with the studio.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class to avoid forfeiting the session fee.
Late arrivals of more than 10 minutes may not be permitted to join the class for safety reasons.
Class passes and packages are non-transferable and non-refundable
4. Payment & Refunds
Payment must be made prior to participation in classes.
Class passes, and packages have an expiry date, which will be communicated at the time of purchase.
Refunds are not available for change of mind, inability to attend, or expired passes.
Refunds will only be issued in accordance with Australian Consumer Law if a service is not delivered as promised.
5. Safety & Participation
All classes are conducted in small groups to allow for individual attention; however, they are not a substitute for one-on-one medical supervision.
Clients must follow the instructor’s directions and only perform exercises within their ability.
Clients must wear appropriate exercise clothing and socks with grip.
Ascent Pilates reserves the right to refuse participation if a client’s health, behaviour, or conduct may compromise safety.
6. Risk & Liability
Participation in Pilates involves inherent risks of physical exertion, injury, or aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
Clients participate at their own risk.
By signing the consent form, clients release Ascent Pilates and its instructors from liability for injury, loss, or damage, except where caused by proven negligence.
Emergency procedures are in place; clients agree to follow instructor guidance in the event of an incident.
7. Privacy & Confidentiality
All personal and medical information collected will be treated as confidential and stored securely in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
Information may only be shared with healthcare professionals if required for client safety and with client consent (except in emergencies).
8. Studio Etiquette
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled class.
Mobile phones must be on silent.
Respectful behaviour towards instructors and fellow clients is expected at all times.
Equipment must be wiped down after use.
9. Termination
Ascent Pilates may terminate participation if a client breaches these T&Cs, fails to disclose relevant medical information, or engages in unsafe behaviour.
